Language Lesson: Learning The Difference Between A Dopo and Ciao

Dearest Readers,

I know it's been ages since I've blogged. I'm sorry for that. The last few weeks of December were packed with finals, moving houses, and leaving the country. It's not easy to pack up and get settled in to a new place and to still find time for yourself. The last two months, however, have been completely wonderful. They have been filled with insane experiences, amazing sights, gorgeous views, and some interesting stories. When I say a dopo, sometimes it's for such a long period of time that it starts to feel more like a goodbye than a "see you later". I didn't want to say goodbye, I wanted to say see you later. At one point or another, I did consider continuing to blog. I guess part of me just felt a little guilty for not blogging for so long, and I decided to give it a break. I love blogging though. Not for others, for myself. It's my chance to share what I've seen and where I've been.
Ciao spelled into a cappuccino- how darling!

Ciao:

  • Hello, Goodbye

A Dopo:

  • See you later

This week, I will be catching up on my favorite highlights from my past three weeks in Italy and Europe, and lessons I've learned. Then, I will blog about my adventures as I travel.

Oh.... and my "three month trip with no set return date"? Yeah... that turned into at least a year and a half... I'll be studying at the university here next year! It's funny how life and love works right? You fall in love and decide you need to build your life around it- I fell in love with Italy and I don't know when i'll be leaving.

Ciao,
Morgan
